Psalm 24: How to Stand Before the King

Jun 14, 2026 / Matt Prine

PRAY:

  • Over what are you declaring “mine” that really belongs to the Lord? Name it specifically (“my” money, kids, spouse, house, body, etc.) and then repent, and ask for God’s forgiveness.
  • Ask the Lord to show you where you need to be a better steward of the resources and relationships that He has entrusted you with.

PRAY:

  • Thank Jesus for doing what you could never do, and being what you could never be.
  • Ask Him to continue to refine you and conform you to the image of Jesus so that others might see Him in you.
  • Turn vv. 3-7 into a prayer for yourself: “Lord, I want to ascend your hill, and stand in your holy place. Give me clean hands and a pure heart. Let me not lift up my soul to what is false…”

PRAY:

  • Personalize vv. 7-10 and pray them for yourself.
  • What areas of your life have you yet to surrender to Him? Ask for the strength to do so
  • How are you still trying to depend on yourself? Repent and look to Him for what you need.
  • Where have you missed the glory of the Lord? Ask God to help you catch a glimpse of His power and glory!
