Plan Your Visit

Welcome!

We are thrilled that you are considering joining us for worship on a Sunday morning!

At Symmetry Church, our heart is to reflect Jesus to everyone around us. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or looking for a new church family, we're genuinely excited to meet you.

What to Expect on a Sunday

  • Service Time: Sundays at 9:30 AM
  • Duration: Usually about 90 minutes

Our gatherings are all about Jesus! Because of this, everything that we do (prayer, preaching, worship, giving) is meant to point back to Jesus. Our aim is to behold Jesus so that we can become more like Him. Expect a warm, authentic atmosphere where people are growing to reflect Christ more clearly in everyday life.

Musical Worship Style

We blend music styles and genres, but aim for our songs to be expressly biblical. We sing anything from gospel hymns to contemporary worship songs and everything in between. The only qualification - it must be glorifying to the Lord!

Teaching

We are expositional in how we approach the scriptures. This means that we work our way through books of the Bible, verse by verse. Occasionally, we will shift to a series that isn’t working through a book of the Bible, but we remain expositional in our approach, digging in to get the true meaning of the passage so that we can better understand the heart of the Lord. Two such circumstances where we will push pause on walking through a book of the Bible would be Lent (as we prepare for Easter) and Advent (as we prepare for Christmas).

Atmosphere

We aim to be warm, welcoming, and relaxed. We want people to come as they are and dress in a manner that they are comfortable. At the same time, we do want to cultivate a holy awe of God, moved by His grandness and submitting to His Lordship. God is our Father, but He is also our authority. He wants us to be authentic in our approach of Him but not flippant.

Kids & Families

We love kids! We do not do “childcare” but rather children’s church. Check-in starts at 9:15, but because we value families worshipping together, children will enter the sanctuary with their parents for worship and will then be dismissed to their classes. Our aim is to contextualize the gospel for these little image bearers that will help them see, savor, and surrender their lives to Christ.

Where We Meet

  • Location: Brazos Christian School, 3000 W Villa Maria Rd, Bryan, TX 77806
  • Parking: You may park immediately in front of the school in the large parking lot. You should see Symmetry Church flags at the entrance of the parking lot.
  • Entrance: Once you park, use the main gate to enter the campus. Greeters will welcome you with a big smile and a worship guide for you to take notes during the sermon. They will also help you find what you are looking for if you are unsure of where to go.

What Should I Bring / Wear?

  • Dress: Casual and comfortable - but if you prefer your Sunday best, that is welcomed too!
  • Bring: Just yourself (and your family if they're joining). We will have coffee, tea, pens, and a worship guide for you to follow along in the sermon. If you have a Bible, bring it! We teach from the ESV translation, but bring whichever Bible you have.
  • Kids' Items: Diaper bags and water bottles are welcome, but please be sure that everything is labeled. Please do not bring toys to church. We do not want them getting lost or broken.

Your First Visit – Step by Step

We're not about checklists or performance. We're about people encountering Jesus and learning to reflect Him together. We try our best to be genuine - and we hope the same for you. We don’t want to meet the “plastic” version of you… we want to meet YOU! No one is perfect, that is why Jesus came and died so that we could be reconciled to Him and to one another.

Arrive 10–15 minutes early

This will give you time to find parking, grab coffee, check your kids in (if you have them), and get seated in the sanctuary.

Meet a greeter

They'll say hello, answer questions, and point you in the right direction.

Check in kids (if applicable)

Head to our kids' check-in area first for a quick, secure process. You will receive both a name tag for your child AND a parent card that you will use to check them out after service. Please keep this card because it is required for the check-out procedure.

Find a seat

Sit anywhere! We do not have reserved sections, but you are welcome to save a couple of extra seats if you have friends joining you.

After service

Feel free to hang out and visit. If you want, you can even help our volunteers tear down!
