Matt Prine

Lead Pastor/Elder

Matt Prine is a born-and-raised Texan who has planted deep roots in the Brazos Valley. He and his wife, Cammy, have been married since 2008 and are raising their five children—four boys and one girl—on their family farm. There, they raise much of their own food, operate a small business called Freedom Poultry, and create space for others to experience rest, good meals, and “country things” like working the land and shooting skeet. Their home is a place of welcome, and their desire is to steward it all for the glory of God.

Matt came to faith in Jesus in the summer of 2004 in Galveston, Texas, after a season of rebellion, atheism, and self-indulgence. God confronted him with the weight of his sin—and overwhelmed him with mercy. That moment changed everything. Not long after, Matt sensed a calling to ministry that has shaped his life ever since.

With nearly 20 years of vocational ministry experience, Matt has served as a College and Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, Missions Consultant, and Executive Pastor. He co-founded the P3 Collective which helps churches identify, assess, train, and send out church planters. He was ordained through Sugar Creek Baptist Church in Sugar Land, TX. Most recently, Matt served as the Executive Pastor of Ministry and Church Planting at Restoration Church Bryan - Symmetry's sending church! Until the launch of Symmetry in January 2026, Matt will remain on staff at Restoration Church Bryan as the Church Planter in residence.

At the core of Matt’s calling is a passion to reflect Jesus clearly—to his family, his community, and Lord-willing, through Symmetry Church. He desires people to live a vibrant and fulfilling life in Christ that ignores the status quo of "boring Christianity." He believes that Christians should be a people who love boldly, live prayerfully, share the gospel without fear, and reflect Christ to everyone around them.

Wesley Nilsen

Worship Minister

Wesley Nilsen is a songwriter, music producer, and recording artist who desires to use every ability to ultimately glorify God. For most of his life, Wesley has been involved in some form of ministry through worship music, whether it be serving on his childhood home church’s worship team, traveling the country with a worship collective, directing a worship ministry of over 70 members, or producing a worship artist’s full-length record from his own home studio.

The second-born of 8 children raised in a God-fearing household, Wesley responded to the truth of the gospel very early in life, not long before his parents bought him his first guitar. At the age of 14, his worship pastor threw him headfirst into leading worship for the youth ministry at the Sanctuary Fellowship in Richmond, Texas. This marked the start of a long journey of learning to use his gifts to create space for others to lift up their own voices in response to the truth of the gospel. Wesley continued serving at TSF before moving to northwest Indiana at the age of 21 to join a worship collective called People & Songs. There, he both learned and taught the craft of songwriting, helped to record and produce multiple records, and traveled around the country, playing at various churches and conferences. When this season ended, he took a full-time job leading worship at Calvary Worship Center in Colorado Springs for 3 years, during which he met his soon-to-be wife, Katie. Together, they have responded to the call to move to BCS and be a part of Symmetry Church.

Wesley is an artist at heart with a passion for seeing cultures collide and creativity flourish among the body of Christ, while staying grounded in the unshakable truth of who Jesus is. He believes the call to worship and to sing a “new song” to the Lord means that we are to reflect the the heart of our Maker, offering back every ounce of inspiration and every creative ability to our creative God.
