Give
Ministry at Symmetry Church happens because people give faithfully.
Every dollar fuels gospel work, meeting needs inside our church family and reaching out to our community. At Symmetry, reflecting Jesus means that we live lives of generosity. In the book of Acts, the early church modeled this beautifully, giving sacrificially so that “there was not a needy person among them” (Acts 4:34).
We want to embody that same spirit today.
In the Old Testament, God's called His people to give the "tithe" (which literally means 10%). Because Jesus has fulfilled the Law, we are not bound by a 10% compulsory tithe. But, we are called to give, and we believe that we are called to give like Jesus - sacrificially.
2 Corinthians 9:7 says: "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." We give cheerfully because our hope is not in money. Our hope is in the Lord, so we freely open our hands to give back to Him from what He first gave to us.
We call this Grace Giving—living like Jesus, “who, though He was in the form of God…humbled Himself” and gave His life for us (Philippians 2:5-8). As we reflect His generosity, we live in symmetry with the gospel: caring for one another, building the church, and blessing the world around us.
