Psalm 117: The Scope of God's Character

Jul 5, 2026 / Mitchell Hartt

PRAY:

  • Consider that God has created the universe, at least in part, that you might understand a fraction of the depth of God's love
  • Ask God to give you a renewed and deepened sense of his steadfast love toward you and others
  • Ask God to show you specifically where you need to demonstrate this love toward others
  • Thank God for how His great steadfast love toward you in Christ has separated your sin from you as far as the east is from the west
PRAY:

  • Thank God for His perfect trustworthiness to fulfill His promises
  • Ask God to help you walk faithfully & truthfully toward Him and others
  • Practice calling to mind God's steadfast love and faithfulness. Remember how God has specifically worked these things in your life and in each other's lives.
PRAY:

  • Ask God to bring to mind any sin or conviction to mind that you might walk in repentance and purity of heart
  • As you prepare to worship God, ask Him to help you not just regurgitate lyrics, but to really press into and consider what you're singing, who you're singing to, and why you're signing it
  • Offer Him thanks in response to his constant and unshakable steadfast love and faithfulness toward you
